Overview 

In-country is a British education management company launched in 2016, with a team of 60+ people across Delhi, Lahore, and the UK. We manage South Asian student recruitment operations for leading global universities and deliver strategic, creative projects for many others. 

We are now looking to appoint a Country Officer to join our dedicated team for our client, Keele University, UK.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to further develop their expertise in student recruitment, outreach, communication, and stakeholder engagement, while working closely with Keele’s international team and In-country’s high-performing Lahore office.

Location: Education Hub Lahore Office - 216 AA, Street 18, DHA Phase 4, Lahore, Pakistan.

Responsibilities: 

  • To maintain public status as an employee of Education Hub Pakistan and not as an official of Keele University at all times. 

  • To attend education exhibitions to meet with potential Keele University applicants and guide them on the University’s courses and entry requirements. 

  • To support the Manager for the Keele University Account In-country in the rollout of In-country’s strategy to deliver the student recruitment goals for the University, in line with the company’s services to the University. 

  • Reaching out to offer holders and prospective students through calls and email campaigns. 

  • Overseeing data capture from events and agents. Ensuring the GDPR-compliant storage and transfer of data between In-country and Keele University. Ensuring that leads gathered from events are appropriately stored on the In-country leads monitoring sheet and then followed up with an aim of converting from enquiry to application/ offers to acceptance. 

  • Undertake market research and provide insights to Keele University’s international team to support recruitment goals. 

  • Travel within Pakistan as required to attend fairs, visit schools, and meet agents, counsellors, and recruitment partners. 

Communication and Liaison 

  • Roll out In-country’s agent and counsellor communications strategy for Keele University across Pakistan. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, universities, agency partners, and other key stakeholders to strengthen recruitment networks. 

  • Plan and deliver targeted events and activities for offer-holders, enquirers, and recruitment partners to support conversion. 

  • Undertaking market research and providing market intelligence on the Pakistan market to the wider International Recruitment Team based at Keele University, to support the wider marketing and communications strategy of the university.

  • Planning and conducting events targeted to offer holders and enquirers to support In-country’s conversion strategy for the university. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification/relevant professional experience) with 0-1 year of experience (preferably) working in higher education or equivalent. 

  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Urdu. 

  • Excellent public speaking skills, with the ability to present to and influence large audiences.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities/projects. 

  • Data handling skills with the ability to analyse large data sets. This includes the use of Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Professional attitude with the ability to engage with and establish a good working relationship across all levels, including internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Ability to use initiative to solve problems/quick thinking. 

  • Attention to detail. 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision, both as part of a team or independently. 

  • Ability to undertake extensive travel within Pakistan.
